Brunello Cucinelli and Art of Elysium

Last week my daughter Beau, Elle Magazine and I were asked to host a “Ladies Afternoon” at the Brunello Cucinelli store in Beverly Hills, to help raise money and awareness for one of our favorite charities….. “The Art of Elysium.” The afternoon was filled with amazing food, champagne and a fashion show unveiling the Spring/Summer 2016 collection. In true Brunello form….the collection was luxury personified. With rich cashmeres, delicate silks, cottons and a bullet proof metal which was the accruement for many of the pieces, the oh’s and ah’s were plenty when the striking models hit the floor. Beau and I were asked to select an outfit from the collection to wear for the afternoon and I must say, I thought they were both divine choices. My silk chiffon dress with a simple black grosgrain waist tie was the total hit of the afternoon…. with Beau donning a long black skirt with a simple tank that was met with rave reviews. My multi-strand statement necklace was made of glass beads with a leather buckle closure.

With some serious money raised and serious fun had….. It was perfect afternoon in Beverly Hills

THE ART OF ELYSIUM

ARTIST SERVICES
Elysium Collections recruits young visionary fashion designers to help medically disabled youth make their own creative forays into the world of high fashion, through colorful hospital workshops and bedside projects. In return, our annual L’Wren Scott Amber Award recognizes those talented young designers by underwriting and showcasing their latest fashion collections.

YOUTH ARTS SERVICES
Children and teens participating in the Fashion Design Program have the opportunity to express their individuality and creativity. Programming led by Clothing and Jewelry Designers, Stylists, Models and many other creative individuals from the Fashion Industry allow youth a sense of mastery and control, helping promote empowerment as they develop their own sense of “style”. Workshops may include: jewelry and clothing design, a fashion photo shoot, makeovers, styling and more.

We ask that you please visit the website and find it in your heart to donate to this amazing organization that has been a part of Beau’s life for 5 years. While I have only been involved for a year… after getting to know this organization better…. they will have me for life.

The Art of Elysium

With a serious amount of gratitude to Jennifer Howell, Alison Beck, Tash Sakkas, Elle Magazine and everyone at Brunello Cucinelli New York and Los Angeles.

With love,

Laura Dunn
