Bergdorf Goodman is celebrating its 111th Anniversary; One store, one city, one experience. This is the first time Bergdorf Goodman has marked its birthday since 1951 and it will be a season of celebration including an exclusive anniversary collection by more than 100 designers, a documentary film and a book. There is only one Bergdorf Goodman in the world: The pinnacle of style, service, and inspiration, since 1901.
An oversized lavender ribbon, with iconic vintage silhouette packaging, is wrapping the entire building of Fifth Avenue throughout the season.
The legendary Fifth Avenue windows have been unveiled with the theme “111 Years of Extraordinary.”
Window highlights include:
–Bergdorf Goodman’s history through archival photographs, illustrations and memorabilia offering a mixed-media narration of Bergdorf’s since it opened as a dress atelier in 1901.
-A unique paper sculpture installation of twelve costumes represent a history of fashion since 1901 by New York artists Mark Gagnon and Samantha Smith.
-A fanciful lavender version of “5th and 58th,” Bergdorf’s famous New York City corner.

The celebration continues inside the store:
-A Main Floor installation by renowned Belgian floral architect Daniel Ost. The walls and ceiling will be layered with structures; hanging pieces have been created with bamboo and over 500 lavender orchids.
-The 57th Street room features a pop-up shop with anniversary items including a tray by John Derian, an umbrella printed with the iconic store image and “754,” Bergdorf Goodman’s exclusive eau de parfum from Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
-The new book “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman,” a fully illustrated anthology full of anecdotes from fashion luminaries and designers.
-Other exclusive anniversary collection items around the store include ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and handbags. There’s a one-of-a-kind Alexander McQueen ruched velvet dress, Christian Louboutin pyramid-studded platforms, evening looks from Oscar de la Renta and Akris. Throughout the store exclusive anniversary items will be tagged with a special anniversary hang tag.
-Framed images, both vintage and new, of the store’s history and current ad campaigns, some of which include QR codes that drive viewers to videos and additional digital content.
-Four different Anniversary shopping bags, covered in festive illustrations in neon colors.
