A study concluded that Taiwanese adults who had their teeth professionally cleaned at least once during a seven year period were 24 percent less likely to suffer a heart attack and were 13 percent less prone to have a stoke than those who did not have their teeth cleaned. And the more often they had their teeth cleaned the lower their risk.
Brush teeth twice daily for at least two minutes at a time and floss for 5 minutes. Have your teeth professionally cleaned (at minimum) once a year…. twice is better. And load up on green tea daily! The anti-inflammatory properties will help reduce the effect of bacteria on your teeth and gums. All the above will help reduce the risk of bacteria slipping into your bloodstream via diseased teeth and gums!! YAY for clean teeth!!
