Making Fashion Personable: Laura’s Mickey Mouse Inspired Jumpsuit

The Jumpsuit…. still going strong from Fall of 2015 into Spring and even Summer of 2016. Once the ultimate utilitarian uniform…. the jumpsuit has come a long way baby in the fashion lexicon. Offering easy one piece dressing from day into evening….. like this black, long sleeved jumpsuit by Replica that could be dressed up in a flash to go right past 6pm and well into the night. Even the way I am wearing it today…. could become an evening statement with a pair of heels. But we opted to dress it down a bit with “The Mouse Ear Cap” by Benoît Missolin… you may be noticing a theme here with my favorite milliner taking top billing…. pun intended. While the mouse ears are not for everyone, I find them such a powerful statement that add in that “je ne sais quoi” to any outfit. Besides the fact that ears of any type worn upon my head make me so happy and Isn’t that what fashion is all about? Being able to make a statement with the way we dress is such an easy way to convey who you are in the flash of a look. It becomes personable. I just read recently that the way we dress says so much about us as who we are as human beings. It allows people to get to know us without having to say a word. That’s why dressing for who you are is so important…. because we honestly do live in a world where one look says it all. I finished off my whimsical look today with my favorite crystal logo belt by Louis Vuitton, a pair of crystal embellished Rene Caovilla combat boots, my ever present Harry Winston watch, an Hermes leather cuff and a really cool pair of ZeroUV sunglasses from our shoot a few weeks back. Moral of the Story: YAY If you bought Jumpsuits last year… because they may be with us for some time to come!!
