Clarence the Angel:

“Remember George…. no man (or woman) is a failure who has friends.”

I wanted to share with you two quotes from Frank Capra’s It’s A Wonderful Life, that have help shape my life since the first time I saw the movie at the age of 8 years old. It’s amazing how this 1946 timeless classic translates so well into 2018… and beyond.

Clarence the Angel:

“Strange isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he.”

Clarence the angel is sent down to earth to show George just how special each and everyone of us is and how many lives each of us touch on a daily basis. He shows George what the world would like like without him… and it’s actually a pretty grim place. We have no idea how even that little gesture of a smile across the room to a stranger can brighten someone’s day. So in a nutshell, each of us touch so many lives on a daily basis that we really never know just how integral our lives our to this beautiful planet.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

May your 2018 Holiday Season be filled with all that is beautiful and bright,

All my love,

Laura
